Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst

At Doreen Evans Associates, Inc. (DEA) we are looking to hire experienced Business Analysts with a proven track record working as a BA on requirements projects. Project Management experience is a plus. If Business Analysis is your chosen profession then DEA is the right place for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Business requirements elicitation
  • Business requirements analysis including techniques such as business process mapping, opportunity analysis, redesign of business processes, user interface prototypes, work flow diagrams, use cases, use case activity diagrams, UML class diagrams, business rules identification, conceptual/logical data model/documentation, business/system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, state models
  • Requirements verification and validation including techniques such as prototyping, requirements traceability matrix, testing scenarios and requirements-based test cases
  • Use of requirements life cycle tools to develop models, publish and manage requirements deliverables

Sr. Business Analyst – Additional Responsibilities

  • Ability to serve as requirements project manager and participate in project planning, oversight and project liaison with client
  • Facilitation skills for information gathering sessions with subject matter experts
  • Participation on Enterprise Business Architecture/Analysis projects
  • Participation in leading an effort to establish a Business Analysis Center of Excellence (BACOE) for our clients

Qualifications:  Business Analyst

  • 3+ years business analysis – requirements elicitation, analysis, validation and specification experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, concentration in business or IT a plus
  • Experience developing business process models
  • Experience with identifying Use Cases and defining the details and requirements in a Use Case narrative
  • Experience using requirements / modeling tools
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Data analysis a plus
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • CBAP/CCBA certification a plus
  • Willing to travel based on project demands

Sr. Business Analyst (additional qualifications)

  • 5+ years business analysis- requirements elicitation, analysis, validation and specification experience, project leadership
  • Requirements project planning and estimating
  • Project management skills
  • Requirements workshop facilitation skills
  • Oversight for other BAs, mentoring, quality control for delivery of BA work to client
  • Management presentation development and delivery
  • Enterprise Business Architecture/Analysis a plus
  • In depth understanding of the end-to-end requirements life cycle

We offer a generous compensation and benefits package: salary commensurate with experience, plus bonus compensation every 6 months.
