Doreen Evans Associates, Inc. (DEA), incorporated in 1992, has consistently focused on helping clients understand their business processes and on developing requirements for change.  In late 2012, DEA was acquired by Robbins Gioia (RG) and is now part of the RG Performance Group.  As part of RG Performance Group, our commitment to the business analysis profession remains unchanged and we will continue to offer clients access to the latest tools and techniques to deliver quality outcomes, reduce project risk and increase customer satisfaction.

Whether undergoing organizational changes such as a merger, improving business processes, adding product offerings, developing an enterprise architecture, adding new systems or redesigning existing ones, DEA specializes in ensuring clients have high quality and comprehensive requirements. Because our heritage is in IT and systems, we understand and can help evaluate systems initiatives. We are aligned with the International Institute of Business Analysis® (IIBA®), and many of our consultants have earned certification by the IIBA as BA professionals (CBAP®).  With our diverse experience across a wide variety of industries, DEA consultants bring valuable skills and a keen perspective to all of our client engagements.

Our commitment to our customers and ourselves includes a continual effort to learn from experience and to research new techniques so that we can improve our approach. We incorporate new techniques where appropriate; some have evolved over time to become best practices that we institute on every project. We try new tools and evaluate whether they add value to what we do. We attend conferences and present papers, we read journals, and we join associations that can help us expand our thinking.

Our Management Team

Doreen Evans is founder and president of Doreen Evans Associates, Inc. (DEA). As part of the Robbins Gioia team, Doreen heads up the Business Analysis Practice across both Government Services and Commercial Services.  She has more than 25 years of experience in planning and delivering consulting services focused on the importance of implementing a requirement management process and the effective use of repository-based modeling tools. Doreen has lectured on business analysis at conferences across the United States and in Europe, and has published articles on preparing organizations for the use of new methods, tools and techniques.

 

Susan Martin is a founding member of DEA and currently serves as Managing Director, Client Delivery at RG Performance Group. In this position, she provides more than 20 years of experience in planning and delivering implementation services and is accountable for the development of methodologies and course materials and oversees the quality of deliverables produced by project teams during client engagements. She also serves as product manager for the LINK™ suite of processes and tools. Susan is a trained facilitator and has conducted many sessions in process redesign, business requirements development and business rules identification.

 

Carol Drew

Carol Drew is Director, Consulting at RG Performance Group with over 20 years in business analysis.  Her skill set spans facilitating business requirements sessions to serving in the key role of developing technical solutions.  As a certified business analysis professional, her responsibilities include elicitation and presentation of information for project team review, collaboration, commenting and approval.  Additional responsibilities include analyzing requirements lifecycle methodologies, BA tools and architecture frameworks and providing leadership and implementation support for clients selecting tools and approaches.  Ms. Drew is a skilled course developer, trainer and presenter with strong communication skills that include the ability to interpret technical concepts for non-technical users.  She is an experienced mentor for new analysts in the application of business analysis best practices at the project level as well as in the use of business analysis tools.

 

Rachel Crane is Director of Business Development for RG Performance Group’s Northeast office. She has more than 15 years of business development, consulting and sales experience. Prior to her appointment in business development at DEA, she served as a Business Analysis consultant for the company on various client projects. Her time “in the trenches” has helped her succeed in her current role by creating a better understanding of her clients’ needs so that the right solution is crafted. Prior to joining DEA, Rachel worked for IBM’s Telelogic (formerly Popkin Software) in a variety of technical sales positions.

 

Doug Jackson is Senior Director for Enterprise Business Analysis Solutions with RG Performance Group.  He is a certified business analysis professional with over 20 years consulting experience in all areas of business analysis. He has led large, multi-project requirements efforts, working to change organizational cultures and mindsets to embrace new requirements practices, and has particular expertise in the areas of enterprise analysis and the creation of business analysis competency within client organizations. Doug also is actively engaged in business planning, enterprise architecture, governance, business case development for business analysis initiatives, and virtual techniques to elicit requirements from remote stakeholder groups. He is a skilled facilitator and an experienced mentor for new analysts in the application of business analysis best practice at the project level.
