Our Approach: Business Analysis Tools
We use tools to help create project deliverables because tools allow us to work more quickly and to manage large amounts of information. We have worked with repository-based modeling tools since their introduction in the 1980s, and our deep experience with these tools means we can be more effective, more quickly on our clients’ projects.
Over the years, we’ve used many off-the shelf modeling tools and are familiar with their strengths and weakness. Here are some of our favorites:
Requirements Center from Blueprint Systems. Requirements Center lets users collaboratively author, validate, and communicate requirements for software projects. Unlike other requirements products that were originally designed as requirements management tools or requirements definition tools and later extended, Blueprint Requirements Center was designed from the beginning as a single, unified requirements management solution.
Enteprise Architect from Sparx Systems for business process analysis and for business and system requirements using the Unified Modeling Language. Enterprise Architect is extremely robust, yet also affordable.
ER/Studio from Embarcadero Technologies for data modeling and database design.
ABACUS from Avolution. ABACUS is a flexible, cost-effective, feature-rich and easy-to-use I.T. strategy, planning and enterprise modeling tool.
We are also familiar with Casewise, System Architect, TopTeam from TechnoSolutions, MicroSoft’s Visio, and with other modeling, requirements definition and requirements management tools.
